STEPS
Concrete steps are the most prominent feature to any entryway so quality of construction is very important. Midwest Concrete Driveway Co. has the experience and expertise to transform your old deteriorated steps into something you can be proud of. New concrete steps also add value to your home or business.
THE PROCESS
Steps entering a building are placed on a footing or frost wall at a minimum of 42 inches below grade. The steps are then formed to the precise tread and riser specification. Rebar is placed and tied then concrete is poured to 16 inches thick.
We pour lawn steps as well, although lawn steps are not usually placed on a footing but are designed to move with the frost. Lawn steps are poured a little heavier and have more steel reinforcement added.
